First Adjustment

Well, yesterday I went in for my first adjustment. I got a new top wire that extends all the way across now. It didn't extend all the way before due to having two teeth extracted. Of course, I got both sets of ligs changed. It was my three-year-old's turn to pick the bottom lig colors. She chose neon green. I've been letting my girls pick the lig colors. It helps make something annoying more fun. When I'm feeling less annoyed in general I would like to experiment with colored ligs on my ceramic tops. It will look really crazy.

At my adjustment appointment. they asked me if anything was poking me. I checked very thoroughly: nothing was poking me. Then of course I get home and it just suddenly starts. And it's intermittent as well. I'll just keep an eye on things and determine later if I want to go back to the ortho's office to get the wire fixed.

I had only just gotten used to having these horrible contraptions in my mouth, and now I'm in a lot of pain all over again after the adjustment. Who knew that eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich could hurt SO MUCH?! So I guess it's soup for me now. I'm in a grouchy mood because of the pain, so I think I'll try to get in a lot of sewing today to keep my mind off things. On a good note, this should prove to be a great weight loss plan.

I really hate this right now.
